ive just had my head gasket changed on my ford escort (2000) twice!!! and it keeps blowing hoses im using 3 liter of coolant and the rest water, (under the car discounts instructions there is no crack on the head and the water pump seems to be working! but yet sizzle sizzle drip drip Help!! also how do i do a pressure check and what do i buy to do this??

thanks bonny SPressure build up in my cooling system?
where is it dripping from?

it could be your pump or thermostat.

when the car is cold, open the radiator cab, and fill it. start the car up, without he cab, and let it warm up. withen 5 minutes or so, you should see the water starts to circulate in the radiator, if it doesn't, you have a problem.

you can then take out the thermostat, and start the car again, if the engine is still warm, and you took out the thermostat, you should be able to see the water circulating, if not, the pump is bad, if water is circulating, then just replace the thermostat. they are about $10.Pressure build up in my cooling system?
To do a pressure test you need a pressure test gauge, which would be expensive for a one off.

To have the head gasket done twice is a problem and costly.

Have you had it back to the place that done the job in the first place or did you do this yourself ?

i would have a look at the thermostat to see what is going on with that.

Is the water going around in the radiator.

when you run it feel the bottom hose see if is hot if it is not then there is something restricting the water.

Also just because the head is not cracked doesn't the block isn't.

Most important did you do the job yourself ?Pressure build up in my cooling system?
It sounds like a clog in your radiator. This would cause the hose to blow off. It sometimes lets coolant through but if it isn't letting enough then it will pop the hose from too much pressure. Could be from rust or garbage in the radiator.
