the valve stem seals can be done without removing the head if you go in to changing a head gasket that turns out to be a totally different job,you can do both jobs once the head is removed,but on just doing valve stem seals you can easily do it without removing the head,good luck.So how much it is to have replaced the Valve Stem Seal , when doing this can you also change the head gasket?
Stem seals are above the head-gaskets, but can be combined with them as the heads must be removed for cleaning and replacement of the gaskets. I suggest you have the valves done as well as your already torn down.So how much it is to have replaced the Valve Stem Seal , when doing this can you also change the head gasket?
I have never done one before myself, but this is because i was at a dealership and if we had a problem like that come in it normally was cheaper to replace the whole motor.

You should be able to get the seals %26amp; head gasket changed for about 5 or 6 hours labour depending on the vehicle. Garage prices vary but about 拢45 per hour would be a general price but main dealer prices are around double this. If you are going to all the trouble of a new gasket %26amp; seals I would advise a new timing belt if the vehicle has one. Good luck hope this helps.
