i would suggest buying a subscription to alldata. Anyone can change a head gasket, but there is a method to the madness of tightening head bolts and loosening them. They must be tightened and loosened in order and it must be right. Other than taking everything off and putting it back in the right place there's not much to it. Cleanliness is the key issue with the head gasket. if your going to do it yourself, your looking at alot of work ahead of you, but if you have the right tools and knowledge, you can do it.but make sure after you get the head off, take it to a machine shop so they can check it out for warpage and cracks. by the way, you dont have to adjust the valves, they are non adjustable. just put the lifter on the low cam, all the weay down and torque the nut.
